When Katie contacted me to see if I would ever come to Denver for a session, I was super excited to make it happen. Katie is my partner's cousin who I have never met, but I had an idea we would connect right away. It was amazing to finally meet, and to see that Ellis totally resembles my little guys as well. Ellis is currently sleeping in the same family heirloom crib that has been passed down through multiple generations. The same crib Alden slept in when he was tiny! Thank you Katie and Adam for welcoming me into your home (and for super delicious coffee and croissants). I can't wait to see you guys again.
The Stein Family :: In-Home Session :: Mt. Tabor, Portland, Oregon
I had a wonderful Saturday morning hanging out with the Stein family. In true Portland fashion, the rain came in, so we decided to take full advantage of it for some classic Portland weather photos. I actually can't believe this was my first family session where the kids jumped in puddles! Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
The Wilds :: In-Home Family Session :: Ashland, Oregon
I spent a sunny (yet slightly snowy!) Sunday afternoon with the Wild family at their home in Ashland. They recently relocated to Ashland from Portland, so I got to document the start of this new chapter for their family. It was supposed to be a quick session, but I had a hard time stopping myself, they were so fun and easy to photograph. I hope to photograph more magical Ashland families in the future!
Kristen + Tom :: Winter Maternity Session :: Portland, OR Lifestyle Photographer
Kristen and Tom are expecting their baby boy in the next few weeks, so I wanted to make sure I shared some of my favorites from their snow filled maternity session. Featuring the two most adorable pugs I have ever met, Port and Stout. I am pretty excited to see some newborn photos with these guys in them as well. Thanks for having me into your beautiful home, and for braving freezing temperatures, and icy sidewalks to capture this special time in your family's life.
Lex Turns Two :: Portland Family Photographer :: Mt. Tabor City Park
I love witnessing my newborn clients turn into little people, and I also love to see the parents blossom into their own parenting roles, the entire family becoming it's own special unit. This beautiful family of three braved the Portland Ice-Apocalypse of 2017 to document Lex for his second birthday. Their determination paid off for a glowing snowy sunset at Mt. Tabor park.
Everett :: Newborn Photo Session :: Portland, OR
That little toddler jumping on the bed just so happens to be the little guy who kickstarted my career. My first photo session was doing maternity photos with Meghann, my friend of 24 (?!) years. Since then we have grown by two more little boys, and a lot less time to have an uninterrupted conversation. My favorite thing about being a family photographer is watching families grow, especially when they are lifelong friends. When I see those first maternity photos now, I realize just how special it was to document the beginnings of this family. xo
Arie :: Portland Lifestyle Photographer :: Portland, OR.
Squishy handsome baby overload over here. I loved capturing this family of three in their beautiful new home. I am so grateful for the opportunity to see these small glimpses into the daily lives of beautiful, loving families.

Zack + Rachel :: Henry Estate Winery :: Umpqua, Oregon
Zack and Rachel got married on the most beautiful Autumn day, surrounded by such a fun and loving group of family and friends. I photographed the wedding of Zack's aunt last year, and it was super special to be around familiar faces again. This couple is so madly in love that I barley had to direct them at all during their sunset portraits, they were just happy to share a special quiet moment together. We just stood back and excitedly captured the intimate connection that they share, giddy to get home and edit these photos full of such pure, raw emotion. Thank you Zack and Rachel for being so easy and fun to work with. And a special thanks to Zack's mom, Gwen, for hiring me to capture her son's wedding day. And as always, to my second shooter extraordinaire Kat...THANK YOU.
Ryan + Beth :: Latourell Falls Elopement :: Columbia River Gorge
This was my first elopement and all I can say is that I am hooked for good. It was pouring the whole time, which added to the excitement and sense of adventure this couple has built a relationship around. I am so grateful I got to witness such genuine sweet souls experience the exhilarating thrill of sharing vows right next to a waterfall. I drove away with a smile on my face and a natural high from a morning spent doing what I love, with such fun, genuine, and (so very) kind people. Thank you Beth and Ryan, I loved being a small part in your big adventure.
Isaac + Sausha :: Clackamas River Farm :: Oregon Wedding
Sausha and Isaac, two of the most genuine, committed, sincere humans I have had the pleasure of capturing. They have a magical dynamic that is both laid back yet enthusiastic, playful yet authentic. I was unaware of the power of them together, and was immediately in awe behind the lens as I found myself once again so grateful that this is what I get to do for a living. Thank you Sausha for you trust and support even before this big day happened.
